Taal Pe Jab, which
was composed by Anu Malik, was the shortest of the three tracks from Refugee on this blog – it was seven
minutes and 13 seconds long.
No prizes
for guessing the names of the duo who rendered it – Alka Yagnik and Sonu Nigam.
But fortunately, no listeners complained of overkill.
The first
line of the track, which was penned by the one and only Javed Akhtar, could be
translated to, “When life swayed to the beat”.
But by no
means would it be incorrect to state that it wasn’t an upbeat number.
