Although most of
the songs of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham…
were composed by Jatin-Lalit, it would be unfair to give them a lion’s share of
the credit for the success of its soundtrack.
One of the two guest composers was their brother-in-law, Aadesh Shrivastava.
Say Shaava Shaava, his only contribution to the soundtrack of the film, was half-a-dozen minutes and 50 seconds long.
Sameer Anjaan penned the run-of-the-mill number, which none of the six singers – Shrivastava himself, Alka Yagnik, Amitabh Bachchan (who toplined the film’s cast), Sudesh Bhosle, Sunidhi Chauhan and Udit Narayan – could salvage.
