Madan Mohan Kohli
passed away on July 14, 1975 (at the age of 51). His unused compositions were
recorded by his son Sanjeev Kohli for the soundtrack of Veer-Zaara, which released in 2004.

The track, which earned Mohan the Best Music Director Award at the sixth IIFA Awards in 2005, was penned by Javed Akhtar and rendered by Lata Mangeshkar, Gurdas Mann, Pritha Mazumdar and Udit Narayan.
