Lyrically, this SonG was (Nig)amazing

Those who love train rides (by which I don’t mean the Mumbai locals) would list Kasto Mazza from Parineeta as one of their favourite songs.

Its two opening lines – “Kasto mazza hai lelaima, ramailo o kali odhali” – were Nepali for, “What fun we have on the train, when it goes up and down the hills”.

There’s no two ways about the fact that the highlight of the track, which was four minutes and 43 seconds long, were its lyrics, penned by Swanand Kirkire.

The Shantanu Moitra composition was rendered by Shreya Ghoshal and Sonu Nigam.
