of Veer-Zaara.
By no mean would (Ud)it be incorrect to state that Mr Narayan, who rendered it, has done a marvellous job.
The song was four minutes and 55 seconds long.
It was penned by Javed Akhtar, and commenced with a couple of evocative lines, that went, “Jaanam dekh lo mit gayeen dooriyaan” [which could be translated to, “Oh my beloved, look here. The distances have been eliminated (or, in this context, become narrower)”.]
It was indeed among the best compositions of Madan Mohan.
