Panga Na Le, the track from Makdee (which released in 2002), wasn’t merely a song, but also a
warning to Hindi filmmakers to avoid taking the young audience for granted.
However, it must
be stated those in the age group it was targeted at loved the song, and that is
attributable to the fact that Vishal Bhardwaj, who produced and made his
directorial debut with the film, besides composing the song, let the two
singers – Aalap Mazgaonkar (who was also one of the kids in the film) and
Upagna Pandya – be themselves.
