Aalap earned the listeners’ thumbs-UP

Panga Na Le, the track from Makdee (which released in 2002), wasn’t merely a song, but also a warning to Hindi filmmakers to avoid taking the young audience for granted.
However, it must be stated those in the age group it was targeted at loved the song, and that is attributable to the fact that Vishal Bhardwaj, who produced and made his directorial debut with the film, besides composing the song, let the two singers – Aalap Mazgaonkar (who was also one of the kids in the film) and Upagna Pandya – be themselves.
Gulzar penned it.
